Zaarin Bushra is an award winning actor, and filmmaker based in Toronto. She starred in Andrew Chung's White Elephant (2020) which earned her the Outstanding Actress in a Feature Film Award at Reelworld Film Festival, and acclaim throughout many festivals in Canada and the US. Her directorial debut The Legend of Feynlab (2021) allowed her to blend commercial and narrative filmmaking, and was selected at Think Shorts and Retrospective of Jupiter. Zaarin hopes to use storytelling as an avenue to uplift and amplify people of colour within film.
Beyond acting and filmmaking, Zaarin continually works to implement practices that tangibly aid people of colour in the industry. She has had the pleasure of holding positions at Reelworld Screen Institute and Film Festival, Future of Film Showcase, and Fae Pictures in order to so.
